Our History
In 1983 Alvin C. & Annette C. Georges birthed the vision of The Fullness of the Spirit Ministries in their home, where Bible Study and Sunday Services were held. The Lord manifested His Glory by souls being saved, bodies healed and deliverances shown by changed lives. Soon the house was too small to contain the increase.
In 1984, the ministry moved to Johnson Road in Norfolk, Va.,until November 1989. The vision continued to expand to include a Christian Bookstore and various Outreach Ministries to the community.
In 1989 until 1993 the church relocated to Poindexter Street in the South Norfolk section of Chesapeake. Expansion continued to also include a satellite campus for Logos Christian College, Jacksonville. Fl.
The next six years, services were held in two locations. Sunday Services at Holiday Inn Greenbrier, Bible Study, nightly services, and other services were held at the Georgetown Child Development Center Chesapeake. During these tabernacling years God was purging, pruning His people and building a strong foundation.
In January of 1999 the church moved into a facility on Smith Ave in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake. God was preparing us for the Miraculous relocation to our present Sanctuary at 730 Canal Drive. God had promised us 5 acres of land and He fulfilled that promise at this location.
God has continued to be faithful to the ministry. Many lives have been saved, healed, delivered and set free. We continue to grow and allow His love to be displayed in our loves as we minister to others. We Give Him all the Glory and Praise.
